Terms of Service

Last updated: 18 August 2026

1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of the Trusted Advisor website at trusted-advisor.co.uk and the matching service we provide through it. By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. We recommend you read section 3 in particular, which explains the limits of what we do.

2. Who we are

Trusted Advisor is operated by Coeus Management International FZC. When these terms say “we”, “us” or “our”, they mean Coeus Management International FZC, and it is that company you contract with when you use the service. The Trusted Advisor name, the site and the material on it are owned by Coeus Management Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (No. 15581278) with its registered office at 8 The Hollies, Church Road, Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, LU7 2LR, and are used by the operator under licence. You can contact us about anything on this page at hello@trusted-advisor.co.uk.

3. What we do, and what we do not do

We are an introducer. We use the information you give us to match you with financial advisers from our network, and we arrange an initial conversation between you and that adviser. Trusted Advisor is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, and nothing on this site is financial advice, a personal recommendation, or an invitation to buy or sell any investment. Matching you with an adviser is not a recommendation that you act on anything that adviser subsequently says. The advisers in our network are authorised and regulated by the FCA in their own right, or are appointed representatives of firms that are. We check each adviser against the FCA register before listing them, and we publish a link to their FCA record on their profile. You can and should confirm an adviser’s current status yourself at register.fca.org.uk before you engage them.

4. Who can use the service

You must be at least 18 years old and resident in the United Kingdom. Our advisers are regulated to give advice in the UK, so we cannot usefully match you if you live elsewhere, even where you hold UK assets. If you are a UK expatriate, tell the adviser at the outset so they can confirm whether they are able to help.

5. How matching works

You tell us about your circumstances and what you are looking for, either through a form on the site or in a conversation with our team. We use that information to identify advisers in our network whose specialisms, minimum requirements and coverage fit what you have described. We do not match you with every adviser who could help, and we are not a whole-of-market comparison service: we introduce you to advisers who are part of the Trusted Advisor network. You are free to decline an introduction, ask for a different adviser, or stop using the service at any point. We do our best to describe advisers accurately, but the information on a profile is supplied by the adviser and is not a guarantee of the service you will receive.

6. What it costs you

Using Trusted Advisor is free for you. There is no charge for being matched, and the initial consultation with the adviser we introduce you to is free and carries no obligation. We are paid by the advisers in our network for the introductions we make. That is how the service is funded. It does not change the fee you pay your adviser, and it does not oblige you to proceed with anyone.

7. Your relationship with the adviser

If you decide to work with an adviser after the introduction, that is a separate agreement between you and their firm. We are not a party to it. Their fees, the scope of their advice, their complaints process and their regulatory protections are theirs to set out, and they must give you that information in writing before doing chargeable work. Because they are FCA-regulated, you will normally have access to the Financial Ombudsman Service and, depending on the circumstances, the Financial Services Compensation Scheme in relation to their advice. Those protections apply to the adviser’s firm, not to Trusted Advisor.

8. Your account

Some parts of the site require an account. You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at hello@trusted-advisor.co.uk if you think someone else has access to it. We may suspend or close an account that is being used in breach of these terms.

9. Information you give us

The quality of a match depends entirely on the accuracy of what you tell us, so please keep it accurate and up to date. Submitting information you know to be false, or submitting someone else’s details without their permission, is a breach of these terms. How we handle your personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy.

10. Reviews

Reviews published on adviser profiles are submitted by people who have worked with that adviser through Trusted Advisor. We moderate for spam, abuse and anything that identifies a third party, but we do not edit the substance of a review or remove one simply because an adviser disagrees with it. We may remove reviews that are fraudulent, defamatory, or that breach these terms.

11. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the site. That includes attempting to gain unauthorised access to it, scraping or systematically extracting data from it, interfering with its operation, using it to send unsolicited marketing to advisers, or using it for anything unlawful. We may withdraw access to anyone who breaches this section.

12. Availability

We aim to keep the site available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend, withdraw or change any part of it, and we may need to do so at short notice for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.

13. Intellectual property

The content of the site — including its text, design, guides, calculators and branding — is owned by Coeus Management Ltd, or licensed to it, and is used by Coeus Management International FZC under licence. You may read it and share links to it, but you may not copy, republish or adapt it for commercial purposes without written permission.

14. Our responsibility to you

We take reasonable care in operating the site and in selecting the advisers we introduce you to. We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care, but we are not responsible for the advice an adviser gives you, for the performance of any investment, or for the outcome of any decision you take after being introduced. We do not exclude or limit our liability in any way that the law does not allow, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. The calculators and guides on this site are provided for general information. They use assumptions that may not fit your circumstances, and their results are illustrations rather than forecasts. They are not a substitute for advice.

15. Complaints

If something has gone wrong, please tell us at hello@trusted-advisor.co.uk and we will try to put it right. Complaints about the advice you have received, or about the adviser’s own conduct, should go to their firm in the first instance, because their regulated complaints process and your right to refer the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service apply to them rather than to us.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example if the service changes or the law does. The current version is always the one published at this address, with the date it was last updated shown at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.

17. Governing law

These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the law of England and Wales, and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

18. Contact us

For anything relating to these terms, email hello@trusted-advisor.co.uk. Correspondence about the operation of the service should be addressed to Coeus Management International FZC; correspondence about the Trusted Advisor brand or the content of the site should be addressed to Coeus Management Ltd, 8 The Hollies, Church Road, Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, LU7 2LR.
