1. Who we are
Trusted Advisor is a trading name of Coeus Management Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (No. 15581278). Our registered office is 8 The Hollies, Church Road, Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, LU7 2LR. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us about anything in this policy by emailing hello@trusted-advisor.co.uk. Trusted Advisor is an introducer service: we match you with an FCA-regulated adviser but we do not ourselves provide financial advice. Once you are introduced to an adviser, that adviser is a separate data controller for the personal data they hold about you, under their own privacy policy.
2. What data we collect
Information you give us. When you request an adviser match, complete a quiz or calculator, download a guide, or book a call, we collect details such as your name, email address, phone number, location or postcode, a summary of your financial situation and goals (for example approximate income, assets, pension and retirement plans), and your adviser preferences. Communications. Records of your correspondence with us, including emails and any messages you send through the site. Technical and usage data. When you use the site we automatically collect your IP address, browser and device type, and information about the pages you view and how you interact with them, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see section 8).
3. How we use your data
We use your data on the following lawful bases under UK GDPR: Legitimate interests — to match you with a suitable FCA-regulated adviser, to arrange and confirm your booking, to respond to your enquiries, to keep records for audit and quality purposes, and to understand and improve which adviser pairings work best. We only rely on legitimate interests where our interest is not overridden by your rights. Consent — to send you marketing emails and SMS messages about relevant guidance and services where you have opted in, and to set non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any message, replying STOP to an SMS, or adjusting your cookie choices. Legal obligation — where we need to process your data to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.
4. Who we share data with
The adviser we match you with. To make the introduction, we share the details you provide with the FCA-regulated adviser or firm best suited to your needs. From that point they act as an independent data controller. Our service providers (processors), who handle data on our behalf under contract: Supabase (database and hosting), Vercel (website hosting), Resend (transactional email), HubSpot (customer relationship management), and our telephony provider (call handling). We also share limited, hashed or pseudonymised conversion data with Meta Platforms (Facebook/Instagram) to measure and optimise our advertising. Others where required. We may disclose data where required by law, by a regulator, or to protect our legal rights. We do not sell your personal data.
5. International transfers
Some of our service providers — including Supabase, Vercel, Resend, HubSpot and Meta Platforms — are based in, or store data in, the United States and other countries outside the UK/EEA. Where your data is transferred outside the UK, we make sure it is protected by an appropriate safeguard, typically the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses together with the UK Addendum, or a country the UK Government has deemed to provide adequate protection. 6. How long we keep your data
Enquiry and lead data — we keep the details you provide when requesting an adviser match for up to 6 years, so that we can support the advisor-matching relationship and meet our audit and regulatory record-keeping obligations. Account data — where you hold an account with us, we keep it for as long as the account is active and for up to 6 years after it is closed, for legal and regulatory reasons. Marketing data — we keep your marketing preferences until you unsubscribe or otherwise ask us to stop, after which we retain a minimal record of your objection so we can honour it. When data is no longer needed we securely delete or anonymise it.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have your data erased, to restrict or object to our processing, and to receive your data in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@trusted-advisor.co.uk. We will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, though we would ask you to contact us first so we can try to put things right.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies that are necessary for the site to work, including for authentication and security. These do not require your consent. Subject to your choice on our cookie banner, we also use analytics and advertising cookies and similar technologies — including the Meta pixel — to understand how the site is used and to measure and improve our advertising. You can change your cookie choices at any time through the banner, and you can control cookies through your browser settings.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always available at this URL, and the date at the top shows when it was last revised. Where changes are material, we will notify you using the email address associated with your account or enquiry.
