What is your average day like:‍

No two days are the same, but I try and spend some time every day staying up to date with the financial news. A portion of every day is spent dealing with client requests and making sure my team are aware of any outstanding questions that need to be answered. Business generation is a key part of every week, whether that is engaging with the community or working with my network to support their clients.

What do you like most about your job?

I love the variety. But the best bit is becoming a small part of my clients’ lives. Understanding what is important to them and then seeing them achieve their goals. Over the years you get to see some great things, buying homes, having children, retiring. It is an honour to be part of people’s journey.

How long have you worked in Financial Services

I was a Chartered Accountant for 17 years so have worked in finance for many years. I made the move to retrain as a Financial Advisor and start my own business around 3 years ago.

Outside of work, Martyn is a keen sportsman and enjoys playing golf and managing his son’s football team, a passion that rivals his own days on the pitch.
