What is your average day like:‍

First thing in the morning walk 4 miles or if I'm feeling energetic/foolish, jog for up to 5 miles. Either way 10,000 steps guaranteed by the end of the day. Move into my home office. Deal with emails, undertake research for clients and produce individual financial planning reports and personal recommendations. I may have virtual or face to face meetings with clients or potential clients throughout the day. I may attend webinars to keep up to date with developments in the financial services arena.

What do you like most about your job?

Like most about the job - It's all about helping people to achieve their goals, whether that's buying a house, planning for retirement or whatever. It's the satisfaction of knowing that in a small way, I've made a difference.

I have been in financial services all my working life, but qualified as a financial advisor in 2001.

Outside of work, Steve enjoys walking or jogging near his home in Gloucester and has a long-term ambition to walk the entire coastline of Britain — a challenge he’s determined to complete, one stretch at a time.
